| Care Groups
What are they?
A forum in which to offer and receive pastoral care.
A chance to get to know, pray for and support a small group within the church.
An opportunity for everyone to meet with a cross-section of the church on the
last Wednesday of each month for prayer, Bible study and fellowship

What is the role of
the co-ordinators?
We have agreed to pray regularly for all of the members of our group, and we try
to support the elders in their pastoral role
We host or help to organise each of the monthly home studies, and try to make
sure that all members of the group know the location of the study and are
offered transport.
We aim to organise occasional social events for the group (normally 3 – 4 per
year) as a chance for us to meet informally.
We are happy to be contacted with prayer requests, or just to chat or to provide
information about the church.
We are happy to arrange to meet with you at any time.

How can you help
your care group to function better?
As co-ordinators, we’ll do our best to fulfil the previous points. However, if
the groups are to work effectively, we will really need the help and involvement
of everyone in the group. In particular, please look out for others in the group
and consider ways of supporting and caring for them pray for others in the group
let us know how we can best be of help to you and keep in touch let us have
points for prayer think of possibilities for social events and let us know (or
go ahead and organise them!) if you don’t know where a study is, or don’t have
transport, let us know.

Any problems? Need
to change groups?
If there is anything that you wish to discuss, please feel free to talk to your
co-ordinator or to any of the elders.
The membership of each care group is not fixed for all time, there will be
occasional changes. If for any reason it would suit you to change your group,
just let the co-ordinator or an elder know.
