Evening Format
A time to PRAY
Wednesday is prayer meeting night at BEC. The form of the meeting varies, but
prayer is always central. Sometimes this is all together and sometimes in
groups. On at least one Wednesday of the month we aim to spend most of the time
praying, while on others it will be combined with other activities.
A time to LEARN
Prayer is central to Wednesday at BEC, but it is informed by God’s word to
us and God’s work around the world:

Most weeks the meeting includes a short
devotional message.

Once a month we have home Bible study groups,
where we learn together and encourage each other. Over the next few months
we’ll be basing our studies on messages given at our Sunday evening service
during the month.

Once a month we aim to have a report on
mission work, either overseas or in the UK.
A time to PRAISE
Worship is important to prepare ourselves for prayer. One week a month we will
aim to have a praise night, taking that opportunity to learn new songs, enjoy
familiar ones and use these times of worship to lead us into prayer together. We
will be having a time of praise, a time of prayer and supper together.
A time to SHARE
Every time we meet there’s an opportunity to enjoy fellowship together. However,
two Wednesdays a month will be particularly suited to that.

On the first Wednesday of the month we’ll
have a meal together before the meeting. This will start at 7pm, and
everyone is welcome to come. We need volunteers to help with the meal –
please speak to Ros Marshall if you would be happy to go on a rota for
preparing the meal or for clearing up.

On the last Wednesday of the month we
normally have home Bible studies in our Care Groups. This is a great chance
to get to know other members of your group, as well as to learn and pray
together.
Monthly Programme
-
First Wednesday – a meal at 7pm followed by a
time of prayer (with a short devotional message), starting around 7:45pm and
finishing about 9pm. Come when you can.

Second and third Wednesdays –
praise and
prayer nights or missionary reports depending on missionary availability,
but all starting at 7:45pm.

Last Wednesday – home Bible studies and
prayer at 7:45pm (see venues here).
This may vary depending on the availability of
those bringing reports on mission.
